Nokia 2220 And 2690 Announced Phone

Nokia has announced two new affordable handsets to its range namely the Nokia 2220 (pictured above) and 2690. The Nokia 2220 is a slider phone that sports a 128 x 160 pixels color display, a VGA photo camera, a 32MB of internal memory, an MP3 player, an FM radio, MMS, Ovi Mail support, Bluetooth and supports GSM/GPRS connectivity. The handset will be sold later this year for $66. Meanwhile, the Nokia 2690 is a candybar phone that comes with the same features as the 2220 but adds a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. The 2690 will go on sale in the first quarter of next year for $80.

Nokia X6 Symbian TouchscreenNokia will launch the Nokia X6 Symbian touchscreen phone in the UK on November 12th, 2009. Priced at around $878, the high-end handset comes jam packed with a 3.2 inch (360 x 640 pixels) LCD display, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi (with UPnP), stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headset jack, a TV out, a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, and a 32GB of internal memory. According to rumors, Nokia will also release the non-CWM version of the X6 in 2010 for a lower price.

Available in pink, red, petrol blue, aluminum, lime and purple, the Nokia 6700 Slide has a 2.2-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240, a 860 mAh battery, and a microSD card slot (up to 16GB). In addition, its camera comes with a built-in dual LED flash and can record video in MPEG-4 VGA up to 15fps. The Nokia 6700 Slide retails for 160 Euro or around $240.

Nokia X6 Coming To Orange UKNokia X6 is finally making its way to British customers starting on November 27th via Orange UK. The handset will be offered for free to those who sign a contract agreement and opt for a monthly plan of at least £35. As a reminder, the phone features a 3.2-inch 360 x 640 touchscreen display, a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, a 32GB of on-board memory, stereo speakers, GPS, WiFi, a 3.5mm headset jack, TV-out and supports both GSM and HSDPA connectivities.
