ASUS M310 mobile phone

ASUS M310 mobile phone
ASUSTeK Computer Inc may not be in the same league as a Nokia or a Samsung but they are trying! The company has just unveiled its new mobile handset which apart from an impressive 2MP camera with a CCD sensor also has an ergonomically designed body. The M310 is a smart flip phone which I am sure will go down well with both the professionals and the casual users. The camera also has an auto-focus feature which promises to make photography more fun and gives it’s an edge over other camera phones.

The M310 is tailor-made for businessmen and professionals and apart from a smart no frills design they have also incorporated some great business features and applications. Some of these include, 1,000-item day planner for synchronization with PC's Outlook, a monthly or daily view of calendar, 1,000 phone numbers, 9 speed dials, 10 voice commands and 10 voice dials. But that doesn’t mean that it’s just a serious phone , the 2MP camera, the video camcorder and the onboard MP3 will provide relief from all the business related functions.

The M310 sports a vibrant 2.2-inch, 320 x 240-resolution LCD and is able to record and support 3GP videos which can be captured at 15 frames/sec. It has a color external screen too which will alert users of incoming calls and messages. ASUS haven’t revealed anymore details about the MP3 player and the onboard memory. But we are guessing that there would be an option for expanding the memory since no self respecting phone is today’s time would skip a memory card slot. No word on pricing or availability but we will keep you posted on this elegant sliver and white phone.

LG KS360 Pink from O2 - 5 up

I've got a brand new O2 mobile phone and I have to say I am loving it sweeties. I lost my previous mobile and I've been using a battered old yoke for ages - so to say I was delira with this one is the understatement of the century.

It's super-sleek and stylish. Black, silver and pink is a delish combination and this is gorgeous. As soon as I showed it around there were gasps from all of Appreciation. "Ooooh, like your phone!"

I do not like technology that can not be figured out straight off the bat. I like to simply switch it on and go - not wade through pages of instructions - so this suited me down to the ground.

This multimedia phone works hard. It has an MP3 player - upload your tunes and listen to them on the supplied headphones - a radio and a camera. You can connect to the Internet, browse the web, send emails and IMS and even check out Facebook and Twitter, should you fancy.

With touchscreen dialing, a full slide out Qwerty keyboard for rapid fire typin 'and textin' and a screen which revolves; this is the phone business.

Want to buy one for your very own self? Course you do! Click here to order because you'll also get a free gift of two mini Bourjois lipglosses with your new phone when you do! O2 Ah, you know the way to the heart of Beaut.ie.

UPDATE: and we have the very lucky winners! They are Giita Hammond, Dublin 6W; Sarah Anna O'Malley, Co.Mayo; Mairead Ni Ghabhain, Dublin 1; Stacey Cusack, Dublin 12; Miriam King, Co. Cork. Congrats miss' and allow 28 days for delivery.

If you're on the O2 network, then right now you can also be in with a chance to be one of the FIVE lucky who win one of these brand new LG KS360 Pink phones worth € 89 each!

Asus P320 Quad Band mobile phone

Asus P320 Quad Band mobile phone

Asus is renowned for producing business-oriented gadgets. Here they have deviated a bit from their conventional route to create a consumer-oriented version as the new-sprung Asus P320 Quad Band Mobile Phone. The model is quite handy with its diminutive dimensions and lightweight. Being a stylus accompanied handset; you would have expected a chunkier device or at least a QWERTY keypad supporting the device like the Blackberry 7130 Mobile Phone. Something like the HTC S710 Mobile Phone sports a different advanced auto sliding full QWERTY key board with 5-pronged navigation control.

Starts with a proven OS

The model is arguably the tiniest Windows Mobile 6.1 mobile phone. Consider the galaxy of significant features this operating system brings to your fingertip as you might have experienced in the I-Mate JAQ-3 Mobile Phone. A glitch found here although, is the limitation of the interface concept of Microsoft at mere colour code names or numbers, instead of unleashing smoother screen scrolling as well as speech bubbles as the Apple iPhone Mobile Phone effectively exhibits.

Asus P320 mobile phone

Asus P320 mobile phone
"It all goes together to make a well-rounded smartphone that's just about the most pocketable Windows Mobile PDA phone you're likely to come across. Unfortunately, though, there's no getting around the fact that the P320's small screen makes using Windows Mobile Professional even more fiddly to use than it normally is. But if you don't mind getting the stylus out occasionally and want the push email and office document features of a Windows Mobile device without the bulk, it's a very solid option. And the inclusion of a GPS receiver in a device this small is just the icing on the cake."

Asus M930 mobile phone

The sector, where Asus M930 mobile phone excels despite its compact design is the storage capacity sphere. The internal memory of this device refers to a satisfactory 256MB as Nokia E90 mobile phone has only a 128MB on-board memory. Consequently, both the models offer expansion slots suiting microSD cards. Asus M930 also trails in the display screen part with only a 2.6 inches diagonal sized TFT of 400 x 240 pixels resolution to boast as the N90 Communicator proudly presents a magnificent active matrix TFT of 800 x 352 pixels resolution and 16 million colours. The external display screen of the E90 mobile phone is also studded with as much colours and 240 x 320 pixels. Messaging features in both these models too are almost indistinguishable with both the gladiators having stacked their quivers with the best lot one can get anywhere in the market such as Push E-mail, Instant Messaging, various Email protocols like IMAP 4, SMTP and POP3, MMS and SMS.

Sony Ericsson Z770i

There are two things inspired Sony Ericsson to launch this model: the developing idea of slim devices and the real opportunities to create this kind of phones. And the most important reason was that the system board had been already designed, and it was a matter of time to implement it. While in 2007 the company was eager to enrich the bar form-factor, this year will bring about many interesting clamshell solutions. As, you may agree with us, with two dozens of bar-phones the company does well, but three slider phones and one clamshell is insignificant range for this company. And these two form-factors will be introduced by the engineers and marketers of Sony Ericsson in the near future.

The bet on bar-phones prevented the introduction of interesting clamshells in 2007, as this form-factor is accepted differently by consumers and has different priorities according to their opinion. They sometimes can take no notice to the thought-out design and ergonomics, only because a handset lags behind modern trends or has a price incompatible with the multimedia characteristics. Besides the A100 couldn’t bring about broader functions. Considering the phone division into simple phones and Cyber Shot and Walkman series, the users have to sacrifice something. If the vendor had combined the program characteristics of these lines into one model, they eventually would have had a substantial decline in demand on other handsets only because of one very functional clamshell. The company has already had experience in creating these “all in one” solutions, but nowadays when devices for different purposes have good sales, the launch of an ultimate-solution is unlikely in the near future. To a certain exchange the program platform A200 stimulated the development of the clamshell segment, as since now all merits of the previous generation of phones were concentrated in one device; moreover they added the powerful application to view the multimedia content. So as there were neither hardware nor software hurdles to create rather slim and functional clamshell phone, they had no reasons to delay the presentation of the new phone. So they did it: six month later after the presentation of the A200 implemented for the first time in the K850i, in Barcelona Sony Ericsson introduced its compact clamshell Z770i, which our review is about.

Sony Ericsson K530

Sony Ericsson K530 is a standard candybar unit, whose functionality has been enhanced, compared to its predecessor K510, so Sony Ericsson K530 can operate in 3G networks as well.

Sony Ericsson K530 is a standard set for a phone of a medium class and there is nothing in excess to raise the price; Sony Ericsson K530 is the first thing we would recommend that you provide is a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card(the phone supports up to 2GB ) because the few megabytes of built-in memory is utterly insufficient for the needs of today. And in case you do not dispose of a USB hub it is strongly recommended you get one as well, since the Sony Ericsson K530 kit’s data cable (DCU-65) is only 80 cm (31.5 inches) long. It is quite likely that there will be a greater distance between the computer and the desk, which is sure to render file exchange with the pc rather inconvenient.

Pocket-sized and just 19mm thin, the Sony Ericsson Z250 Camera Clamshell is coming more for its looks than features. Yes it trendy looking but franky the specs are pretty mediocre. The upside sees "eye-catching metallic patterns" on the 90gms phone. By far the only solace is the 200 pics capacity and the slideshow feature. The Z250 clamshell builds on the story of the recently announced T250 stick or 'candy bar' phone. The smooth front face belies the icon display, hiding it till an incoming call/text lights it up.

The more expensive Gigaset SL375 ($299) also has an answering machine built into the base station. You can add up to six handsets to each base station, and each handset comes with a recharge cradle. You can also register handsets to multiple base stations to build a large cordless phone network.

Like many multi-handset systems, the Gigaset gear is flexible - you can make internal calls between handsets, transfer calls between handsets, and join a conversation from another handset. Handsets can be used as baby monitors or walkie-talkies.

Each handset's address book holds up to 250 phone numbers, as well as photos for your contacts, which pop up on the screen when they ring you. The handsets also have an alarm clock and basic calendar, along with a range of horrible ringtones.

The inclusion of Bluetooth lets you use the wireless headset from your mobile phone, which is handy if you want to move around the house on a hands-free call.

You can sync a handset's address book with the address book in Microsoft's Outlook or Outlook Express, but Mac and Linux users are left in the cold. Unfortunately, Siemens doesn't sell the USB sync cables in Australia, and syncing through Bluetooth can be hit and miss, which is as much Bluetooth's fault as the phone's.

With more functions comes complexity, and the Gigaset SL370 certainly isn't the world's most user- friendly handset. The advanced features, and resulting high price, make it a phone for tech-heads and gadget freaks.
