Sony Ericsson P912

The concept Esato thread phones of 2009 is more than ever and Productive J. Havrlant is at it again, designing this beautiful Sony Ericsson P912 phone. I see a beautiful device with a touchscreen coupled with a form factor that will make viewing great movie and I can suppose that the screen's resolution is good enough to rival the one of HTC Touch HD.

Sony Ericsson P905

The Sony Ericsson Android mania is loose, now that SE have announced they'll be shipping an Android device next summer, so concepts had to adapt to the new trend. J. Havrlant is back with one of his high tech designs, the P905, that features a QWERTY keyboard (physical or touch?), A huge touchscreen display and Android OS plus its neat interface.

Sony Ericsson T903

After seeing Sony Ericsson T903 for the first time we fell in love with it, while the second design concept offered us a view on its back and its 8.1 megapixel camera. Now it's time to check out J. Havrlant's last version of the Sony Ericsson T903, inspired by Mazda Ryuga, and this time, portrayed the handsets are so hot that the image can be used as a wallpaper.

Sony Ericsson Idou Full

Sony Ericsson Idou Full Touchscreen Phone. The handset will be one of the firm's first to be based on pure Symbian instead of UIQ and will use a custom touch interface with an emphasis on media playback. Appropriately, it will also have a 3.5-inch, 16:9 ratio display and appears to rely solely on the screen for keyboard input. Sony Ericsson can also claim to be the first with a 12-megapixel camera onboard a phone and will give the device both a xenon flash and a retractable lens cover.
The Idou name is currently a placeholder for the phone, which has little extra confirmed information and will get more details sometime in the first half of 2009. A formal launch isn't expected until sometime in the second half of the year. Adding the Idou is crucial to Sony Ericsson, which was one of the earliest members of the Symbian Foundation and whose decision helped shut down UIQ and force a change in mobile operating systems. The company so far only has the XPERIA X1 as an alternative to competing touchscreen phones from Apple, LG, Samsung and RIM and typically prices the X1 out of the range of its rivals. The absence of capable high-end devices in general has helped contribute to a 27 percent yearly sales drop at the company as well as a tumble in average sales prices.

Sony Ericsson W3i

The Sony Ericsson W3i was designed by J. Havrlant, one of the most prolific SE concept creators, who this time shows us that can Walkman phones have good cameras and hot specs.

This Walkman concept comes with a 480 x 800 touchscreen, 16 GB storage space, 256 MB RAM and a 5 megapixel camera with a Xenon flash. The Sony Ericsson W3i also handles connectivity quite well, offering WiFi, UMTS, HSDPA and EDGE support.

Other than that, we’re dealing with a fancy slider that can rival any iPod/music phone.

Sony Ericsson W970i

Yes, it is a Walkman phone, this W970i, but it looks very much like the ideal MP3 player, that would replace the ever popular iPod. Designed by the same talented J. Havrlant, the W970i comes with UIQ 4 and a pretty large display, but I'm not so sure about the multimedia keys placement beneath the screen ...

They might not be very comfortable, but the device is still looking hot.

Sony Ericsson K1i

The SE K1i concept proves to be one of those rare handsets that keeps the design of its predecessor unaltered, while the specs get slight upgrades. Basically the K1i (designed by J. Havrlant) is a P1i, but with a 5 megapixel camera (compared to the 3 MP of the first handset) and 256 MB RAM (the P1i had 128 MB).
Sony Ericsson K1i also incorporates a VGA touchscreen, EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA support, 8GB of storage (much more than the P1i) and a mini USB port. Last but not least comes the 3.5 mm audio jack, VGA video recording and the Xenon flash of the camera.
Share:

Sony Ericsson K5i

This concept phone’s main appeal is surely its 7.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and 5x optical zoom, coupled with a Walkman 3.0 player. You’ve got the best music player there is on a multimedia handset that uses a WVGA touch display and a front 0.48 megapixel camera (for 30 fps video recording).

The connectivity is quite standard (EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/Wi-Fi), while the specs list also includes a 256 MB internal memory, M2 and microSD card support (8 GB max) plus a mini USB and 3.5 mm audio jack.

K5i also comes with XP and Vista support and it can be used as your webcam, with probably better quality than your laptop’s incorporated camera.

Sony Ericsson W509.

Usually music phones show their nature via a couple of multimedia keys or through the Walkman branding, but there are a few handsets out there that resemble MP3 players guessing so much that their features is easy as pie. One of those is the Nokia 7280 and the other is J. Havrlant's concept phone, the Sony Ericsson W509.
We’re dealing with a handset that comes with 4GB of internal memory, a 3.5 mm jack, a 176 x 220 display, a 2 megapixel camera and a MiniUSB. The W509 also uses extra music navigations keys and connects via EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA.

Sony Ericsson G910

While LG are getting ready to announce the Prada II, the Sony Ericsson G910 would make a fine rival for the first generation of handsets branded with the fashion designer’s logo. Designed by J. Havrlant, this concept phone is both stylish and touch-friendly.
Its navigational pad beneath the screen seems fairly easy to use, while the rest of the buttons surrounding it are (or seem) touch sensitive. I’m also betting that the display is a touchscreen and I can see that the handset features a frontal camera and probably Windows Mobile (notice the little icon on the left?).

Sony Ericsson Experia X1

When looking at an alternative phone to the iPhone or 3G versions, you may want to take a look at the Sony Ericsson Experia X1 because it does sport from advantages.

We are still waiting for the Experia X1 to have a price and carrier announced, this would likely be AT&T or T-Mobile later this year.

What we like about the Experia X1 is the option of both a high-resolution touch-screen and hardware QWERTY keyboard as navigation options.

The keyboard slides from under the display and will appeal to those that love real buttons to press, although the touch screen will give the phone the benefits of more keys if they update the software in the future or add 3rd party add-ons.

Some people might find this a better option than just having a touch screen like on the Apple iPhone but there are problems with this, you should be aware that the hardware keyboard makes the Experia X1 about a quarter-inch thicker than other touch-screen phones.

If you do not mind a cell phone that’s a little on the thick side, then this could be the choice if your looking for an iPhone alternative. Users looking for thin phones will not like the Experia X1 as it could mean a difference of 40 percent.
