LG’s First Android Phone

LG’s First Android PhoneLG today introduced their first Android-based smartphone that will be available in the fourth quarter of this year in selected European markets. The announcement of LG’s first Android-powered smartphone comes only a week after the company announced that it would be introducing three new Windows Mobile smartphones in the next few weeks. Previously known as “Etna”, the LG GW620 is a QWERTY-slider that has a 3-inch touchscreen display with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, Wi-Fi and GPS. Sadly, there is no info on when this handset will be available in the US market. We will keep you posted.

LG GD510 Mobile Phone

LG GD510 Mobile PhoneLG has added a new cell phone to their range by releasing the LG GD510. The phone comes jam packed with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400, a 3-megapixel camera, and a 8GB of storage space to store your captured pictures or videos. Additional features include a brushed aluminum case, and an optional solar panel that will replace the battery cover and can be used to charge the phone’s battery. The LG GD510 will be available beginning in mid-October in Europe, followed by other markets.

Nokia C5 PhoneNokia will launch the first handset from the Cseries family in the form of the Nokia C5 candybar. The S60 3rd Edition-powered phone features a 2.2-inch QVGA display, HSDPA, OVI Maps 3.0 with free navigation, Nokia Messaging, a 3.5mm headset jack, a stereo IHF speaker, a 3.2MP camera, and an included 2GB memory card. Using this handset, you can also see Facebook status updates from the phonebook. The Nokia C5 will be available in the Q2 of 2010 for 135 Euros or around $183.

Oakley Nokia N97

Oakley Nokia N97Oakley and Nokia has joined together to launch the limited edition Nokia N97 for Winter Olympics 2010. Nokia will release only 200 units of this handset. The phone features the Oakley Thunderbird (the specially designed logo for the Vancouver Olympics) laser etched onto the back of the phone.
