BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230

We thought this day would never come but Verizon has officially announced the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. Available starting June 19th, Verizon asks that you fork over $129.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract. As for the specs, you know the deal: OS 4.6.0, 324MHz processor, external display, vertical QVGA internal display, SureType keypad, 2 megapixel camera with flash, GPS, so on, so forth. Anyone excited? The Pearl Flip is just as cool as the Tour, right?

BlackBerry Kickstart,

Are you ready, people? We’ve been holding this info for a while now trying to confirm it, but no more! We have here pictures of a new BlackBerry device. It is a BlackBerry clamshell — a flip phone and codenamed the Kickstart! Let me repeat this. This isn’t fake, this isn’t a hoax. We’ve known RIM is planning to launch a flip phone within the year, and we now have the pictures to prove it! As you can see, it uses a SureType keyboard, has an external LCD, and a pretty decent looking internal LCD. It also uses the TrackBall for navigation and does have a camera. We’re hearing a release date before the end of the year. What do y’all think of it? Hit the gallery for all the pictures of the brand new BlackBerry flip phone!

BlackBerry Curve 8310

The Blackberry Curve 8310, released in the year 2007, has turned out to be the most loved phone in the Blackberry Curve series. It is the Blackberry series with satellite navigation along with features like email, internet, 2 mega pixel camera and memory card slot. RIM have taken on a great idea by continuing to release models in the Blackberry 8800 series that keep the people of corporate sector happy and simultaneously the Blackberry Curve series which will keep the consumers sector happy. This time Blackberry has to face some fierce competition as the mobiles that run on the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Platform are selling twice that of those running on the RIM’s Blackberry.

Blackberry Curve 8310 is the successor of Blackberry Curve 8300 which was released in the month of June, the same year. While both of them has similar looks and features, the major difference is the introduction of the GPS.

Samsung F700

One of the last released phones of 2007 is the Samsung F700 (super) Smart Phone - which will only be available on the Vodafone network. A touch-sensitive screen, and the standardised QWERTY keyboard make this phone an ultra-desirable handset for this up-coming Christmas. It looks gorgeous - it feels gorgeous and it is released on the 27th November 2007.

The touchscreen takes advantage of Samsung’s own VibeTonz technology which vibrates when it is touched. The iPhone touch-screen is occasionally fiddly as you are constantly flicking between looking at which keys you are pressing and then the display to see if it has recorded your touch. Using this VibeTonz technology feels more intuitive than the iPhone and makes for a swifter method of using a touch-screen. Well done Samsung!

Business users will love the horizontal slide-out keyboard which makes your typing easy.

The phone weighs in at only 139g, it is a weeny 15.9 mm thick. The 3.2 inch widescreen displays at 440 x 240 pixels. The phone is capable at browsing the web at super-fast speeds as it is 3G compatible (have that Apple!) and even has a built in HTML web browser to display websites as you would see them on your computer.

Did I forget to mention the stunning 3 Megapixel camera, coupled with the 1 Gb memory card (The phone can hold up to 3.5 Gb) - enough for around 1,000 MP3’s or 90 entire albums.

Vodafone are also throwing in some excellent Bose headphones with this phone.

Many websites have already declared this the iPhone-beater and ssshh, don’t tell the mugs buying the iPhone, but this IS a better phone - especially for those who not only want the media playing capabilities but also the ability to send emails etc.
