ASUS M310 mobile phone

ASUS M310 mobile phone
ASUSTeK Computer Inc may not be in the same league as a Nokia or a Samsung but they are trying! The company has just unveiled its new mobile handset which apart from an impressive 2MP camera with a CCD sensor also has an ergonomically designed body. The M310 is a smart flip phone which I am sure will go down well with both the professionals and the casual users. The camera also has an auto-focus feature which promises to make photography more fun and gives it’s an edge over other camera phones.

The M310 is tailor-made for businessmen and professionals and apart from a smart no frills design they have also incorporated some great business features and applications. Some of these include, 1,000-item day planner for synchronization with PC's Outlook, a monthly or daily view of calendar, 1,000 phone numbers, 9 speed dials, 10 voice commands and 10 voice dials. But that doesn’t mean that it’s just a serious phone , the 2MP camera, the video camcorder and the onboard MP3 will provide relief from all the business related functions.

The M310 sports a vibrant 2.2-inch, 320 x 240-resolution LCD and is able to record and support 3GP videos which can be captured at 15 frames/sec. It has a color external screen too which will alert users of incoming calls and messages. ASUS haven’t revealed anymore details about the MP3 player and the onboard memory. But we are guessing that there would be an option for expanding the memory since no self respecting phone is today’s time would skip a memory card slot. No word on pricing or availability but we will keep you posted on this elegant sliver and white phone.

Take for example - the new O2 Xda GRAPHITE Windows Mobile Smartphone. This device is now being offered by O2 in the UK. Do we see it here in the U.S. yet? Nooo .. Frustrating huh? Windows Mobile candybar phone too!

Features of the O2 Xda GRAPHITE include the following:

* 3G and WLAN support
* Microsoft Office document support
* 2 megapixel digital camera
* Microsoft push email support
* Measures 109.5 x 46.99 x 18 mm
* Weighs 109 grams
* 4 hours talk time

I guess we'll just have to live with things like the Dash and the BlackJack. (Do not start on either the Treo 700W).
