Samsung C6625

The folks at Expansys are hard at work helping us get a wee bit more dirt on what Samsung has in store for us this year with the unofficial unveiling of the Samsung C6625. This QWERTY messaging device has a 2 megapixel camera, runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, triple-band GSM, HSDPA in the unfortunate (for us) 2100MHz band, AGPS, and 100MB of onboard memory that you can boost with microSDHC. Pricing is tentatively set - these things change as it is still a pre-order - at $ 365 with no firm shipping date. Thanks again for the goods and we'll see you, Samsung, at Mobile World Congress.

Samsung BD-P3600/P4600

Samsung's latest two BD-Live Blu-ray decks are Conscious design to the max-one is a wall-mountable 1.5-inches thin (BD-P4600) and the other is a low-profile, sleek tabletop deck (BD-P3600), and both stream Netflix and Pandora.
Nice to see some creativity in the BD player zone-the wall-mountable especially 4600, which reminds me a lot of Naoto Fukasawa's awesome wall-mounted CD player (now if only you could watch the Batman logo spin with no door). And on top of Profile 2.0, (via ethernet or USB slots which can accommodate and included wi-fi dongle) and Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD HR / MA decoding and bitstream audio output, both decks will stream Netflix Watch Instantly radio or Pandora. They're available the first half of 2009.

Samsung SGH-F520

Samsung SGH-F520 is the iPhone's F700 fighter lil 'brother.
Kinda. It may have a lower model number, but it has a slightly bigger 3-inch touchscreen, and an insano side to side, up and down slider: Only a Rubik's cube has more moves than this phone. The cam only has a 3MP cam, compared to the F700's 5MPs. We'd take either one, but they're both locked away in display cases here at 3GSM ... wow, Samsung even matched the iPhone's look-no-touch glass cased in vapor launch.

Smatter spec after the jump.

900/1800/1900 MHz + 2.1GHz
Camera
3 Megapixel with Flash
262.144 TFT (3 ", 480x272)
Full Touch Screen Dual Slider

Samsung G810

As I said earlier, for more then a year since Nokia N95 was announced, nobody was able to produce something to at least match N95 feature set.

Well, we may finally have a real N95 challenger in the upcoming Samsung G810 handset, that, according to Mobil.cz, should be announced during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, next week.

It seems that with Samsung G810, Korean handset maker took everything that made Samsung G800 cameraphone so cool, and added the missing features,

Samsung G810 specs (if my non-knowledge of Czech has not led me down) include:

  • GSM/UMTS/3.6 Mbps HSDPA connectivity
  • Symbian 9.2 OS with S60 3.1 UI
  • 2.6″ 262K Color QVGA TFT display
  • 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, anti-shake, face recognition, macro mode, autofocus, etc;
  • 150 MB of memory and microSD memory card slot
  • GPS navigation
  • Wi-FI b/g
  • Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, USB 2.0 (microUSB connector)
  • 1200 mAh battery
  • Dimensions: 104×52x9×18 mm

With an expected retail pricetag of 580 Euro, Samsung G810 will indeed be competing directly with Nokia N95/N95 8GB. And 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom might just make G810 a worthy consideration.

But, of course, Nokia had more then a year to work on a new handsets, to follow through on innovations N95 brought. So lets see how that battle develops.
